Education, Training, and Development
Dynamic Woods has a main aim of having a positive impact, both on the environment and on Inzievar Woods, but also for the wider community in Scotland.
One way we want to increase our impact is increasing our work within the education sector by helping provide training onsite for Forestry and Timber skills as well as partnering with the education sector. This ranges with work done with the local primary schools and youth groups to providing a base for research for higher education institutions for forestry and ecology research.
We now have a classroom facility on site where we host the Working Woods Scotland course, run by ASHS and Forestry Scotland, and are beginning work on hosting Lantra accredited courses on a range of job skills including chainsaw and felling certifications. In addition, forestry based courses are possible in the surrounding woodland.
The space is also available for hire for other organizations for hosting classroom-based learning, meetings, or conferences. We have also hosted groups from Venture Scotland, providing them facilities for their youth and development programs.
